Piers Baker – Broker

Since 1967, Piers has been coming to the utopian seaside village of Chester for the summer. In 2012, he made a lifestyle choice and transplanted his wife and two kids from the urban chaos of downtown Toronto to Chester – a eureka moment for Piers! In his own words “Since we moved, life just keeps getting better and better!”

From 1988 until his move to Nova Scotia, Piers managed Third From the Sun Ltd., Canada’s largest and most elite DJ company based in Toronto. He has worked celebrity parties for the likes of Conan O’Brian, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Brad Pitt and Elton John, just to name a few. He’s been on stage with many artists including Stevie Wonder, Earth Wind & Fire and Kool and the Gang. Past heavyweight clients include all of Canada’s major banks and pharmaceuticals, the Toronto International Film Festival, CTV, Global, Alliance Atlantis and CBC. If the Eaton, Rogers, or Weston families are having a party, you could count on Piers being the DJ.

Since his move to the east coast, as the owner and manager of several commercial properties in Chester, Piers has his hands on the pulse of what’s happening around town. Piers’ fondness of Halifax dates back to his years at Dalhousie University where he began the DJ business and also worked for Warner film.

From a community perspective, Piers has also contributed his business insights as former chair of the Chester Chamber of Commerce, former co-chair of the Village of Chester Tourism and Development Association (VOCTADA) and former chair of Chester St. Margaret’s Bay PC Association. Piers has become an active supporter of the Chester community through the management and ownership of several commercial properties in the village, as well as the operation of the Kayak Shack during the summer months up until 2019. Piers always has a direct link to all Chester local happenings.

Piers has become known for his honesty and direct approach in the real estate business. His approach is that “I want to find dream homes for my buyers and get the best value for my sellers’ homes.”

Piers describes himself as a seasoned corporate marketing and business development professional.  He expresses it best – “I know the communities across the South Shore, and when you work with me, the full extent of my experience and connections will be made available to you. My business relationships are founded on the sound principal of dedicating my full attention to each of my clients unique needs.”
